About Virginia Nail School

Viginia Nail School was founded on the idea of improving the nail industry by providing more "Licensed" Nail Technicians into the industry in order to build more respect to our trade. "Licensed" Nail Techs are respected for their ability to provide a safe and sanitary service to the public. Having an actual license opens door for opportunities in the future as their skill and knowledge grows. We are a small private school with decades of experience putting licensed Nail Techs into Virginia.

About half of our students come here after being scammed by salon apprenticeships, attending unlicensed schools, leaving schools with instructor/training issues, leaving schools that went out of business or going to nail schools with a course that did not fully prepare them for an updated licensing exam. "Nail Education only" schools for profit are difficult to keep open because there is no financial aid offered in Virginia for Nail Education. In the past 20 years we have seen most close or end their nail program in beauty schools within a few years of opening. About 20% of our students come from schools that closed for lack of profits or were shut down by the state for high exam fail rate issue audits.

Our low course cost (with a focus on other endeavors for profit) keeps our nail school open and allow us to offer individualized attention designed to each student to lead them to licensure. We keep our enrollment small enough to pay attention to each student and offer flexibility to attend. We are not focused on profits with a large overhead and multiple staff to pay. We cater instruction to each student's own learning style and ability to finish to lead them to an actual license not just a certificate. The instructor stays by all graduates until they pass their state exams to get licensed. The individual attention and 24/7 direct contact to the instructor is what sets us apart from other schools.

We very strongly believe that students that are meant to be here will end up here. We NEVER push anyone to attend this school and enrollment questions will be answered openly for enrollment here or anywhere else.  The Instructor, Ms. Vivian, earns her salary with other jobs listed in her bio and does not get paid to teach here. Her charitable patience is what sets this school apart from bigger schools pushing students out the door to focus on the next class group for profits. A certificate means nothing without the license and licensing exams are updated regularly to prevent cheating from students sharing study information. The knowledgeable instructor updates our own unique course regularly to ensure graduates (that study and follow instructions) can be ready for the most current exams to get their nail license.
