COVID-19 Precautions at VNS

 

 

This is small attentive school that is able to offer a one on one instruction environment by appointment. Appointments must be made for any visit to the school. As long as there is not a Executive Order from the Virginia Governor to close schools then we are still open for lab bookings. Online study is open 24/7 during a statewide closure until classes can resume. Executive orders that close schools will offer completion deadline extensions.

CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENT & SAFETY

  • Students should not enter the building until the start of their booked class time
  • classroom will have only have one Instructor and one Student at all times
  • Same time booking can only be students with ID's showing the same address
  • entire student area is sanitized with a virucidal disinfectant after each student
  • office counters, restroom and door handles are sanitized per visitor
  • Students are free to bring their own supplies to avoid touching school supplies
  • There is a 15-30 minute surface sanitation time between each student 
  • mask is required when in the building and 1 per visit is available by the door
  • Drinking beverages and photo taking can have the mask temporarily removed
  • Do not bring snacks or food into the school. Leave the building for food, lunch or dinner. 
  • Instructor will wear a mask at all times and it will not be removed during the visit
  • Non-ethanol alcohol hand sanitizer are throughout the school (non scented available)
  • Hand sanitizer is recommended to be use before class starts and when leaving the building
  • Any visitor using the restoom must santize hands before and after visit while wearing a mask to keep the door handles sanitized per visitor

SYMPTOM OR POSITIVE COVID STUDENTS

  • Students with fever, new cough or symptoms of possible COVID-19 should cancel until better
  • Positive diagnoses for COVID-19 must notify the Instructor to temporary delay attendance
  • Can return 20 days after a positive diagnosis if clear of all COVID-19 symptoms
  • should work online if they feel healthy enough to study (without practicing on people outide their household)
  • can not come into the building in less than 20 days of a positive diagnoses notification
  • get an extension added to their course completion deadline (proof of a positive diagnosis for COVID-19)
  • can book video chats online or by text with the instructor while working at home
