Non-Online Course

The state exam for licensure is the hardest exam ever as of July 2023. For those that need comprehension help this course offers more book training or for those with good comprehension they will get more advanced hands on training in this course.

 

Non-Online study is Recommended for any of the following type of students:

  • with English as a second language to review wording in test questions
  • that do not have 30hrs per month of internet access
  • who need detailed in-class instruction to learn book study
  • with very weak self study skills and serious testing issues
  • that need organized attendance to finish the course on time
  • one item above PLUS no experience or knowledge of any kind on nail services

 

There will be no online study required. This option costs more for the increased private training. This course is tougher than the online course with about 200 hours of study done within 6 months. This type of course costs more for the amount of extra work designed to create the course for each student's learning needs with additional training with the instructor. 2024 Non-Online Course Cost  $3,500

Down payment option is $2,000 down with five monthly payments of $350. Pay at the school by appointment

Attendance can start after completion of 50 hours of paper homework study first

After paying a email will arrive in a few hours to welcome you and a homework packette will be mailed to arrive within 1 week. Study hours are required at home for about 30 hours per month to take this course. 

 

Cost includes textbooks, registration, tuition and lab fees.

  • Attend a 10 day course (must be done within 6 months)
  • Non online students can book up to 2-3 days a month for 5-6 months 
  • Can not attend more than 1 day per week or more than 3 days per month
  • About 20 hours of paper/service practice homework is required between class days
  • Pre-review of quizzes for ESL students to ensure an understanding of wording in questions with study required
  • Testing done at each class with a final exam that must be passed to pass the course
  • Student must pass tests with a grade of 78% or higher to be able to take exams for licensing
  • Supplies for disinfection, mani, pedi and acrylics is required for home-work or buy a kit
  • The state exam fee and license fee is paid to the state exam center after finishing the course (not included)
  • The state licensing fee is $90 paid to the state after passing their exam to get your Virginia Nail Tech License

 

 

Non Online Course Completion Process

  • After making a down payment (or payment in full) students will get a packette and a textbook to study about 50 hours of homework at home. This will require book reading and paper homework. Supplies to try to attempt polishing, mani or pedi skills at home (with sanitation) are needed during this study time. 
  • After completion of the homework, students can attend their first day. Students on payment plans must make their first monthly payment to attend this first class day. Safe hands on skills are learned in class days.
  • Students attend about 10 class days (depending on testing scores shown in the school) with successful completion of homework assignments between each class day. More homework is given with assignments for other services such as gels, art or acrylics are to be completed between additional future class days. 
  • There is about 10-20 hours of homework and practice done between each class day. Students have quizzes to take at each class.
  • Students that complete assignments quickly will have more advance hands on training in class instead of tutoring
  • Students in non-online courses have access to make appointments for video chat or facetime with the instructor whenever they need it during their course enrollment time
  • Students should attend 2-3 days per month to attend their 10 days within six months of paying to start the course here. Those starting in 2023 have 7 months to finish because of holiday weather/closures. Exception to Dec/Jan closures most classes are available to book by the student on any Mon-Sun between 10am to 9pm for three hours at each class day. 
  • Final two days will have 2-3 tests that need to show a passing score of 78% (or higher) to be released and ready to take the current state exam for licensing within 1-3 months.
    State exams are updated regularly. Students are not released to take exams until thier course is paid for. Students need to take the state exam within 1-3 months of completing a course here to become licensed. Exams are NOT done here- they are taken at a secure state testing site and their fee is $172. A failed state exam is $86 per try. The state Nail Tech license fee is $90 afer passing exam.
